A smoothie and juice bar is now in operation in Metquarter offering a range of healthy drinks for our customers; from ‘peach sensation’ to ‘berry madness’, from ‘pineapple fusion’ to ‘banana blitz’, there is a large range of smoothies to chose from all made from fresh fruit and 98% fat free yoghurt. One of the most eagerly awaited events of Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture celebrations is now live! 125, two metre tall replicas of Taro Cheizo’s iconic SuperLambBanana sculpture have been painted, decorated and adorned by local artists, schools and community groups, to create a free to view, open air, public art spectacular. Metquarter are joining in the fun and are host to 4 SuperLambBanana’s including Baa-Nitez, a SuperLambBanana take on Liverpool Football Club’s Rafa Benetiz. Radio City’s Pete Price’s ‘Super Laugh Banana’, Granada ITV’s ‘I love Granadaland’ and of course our very own ‘Petite Fleur’ painted by artist Helene Gilmour. All 4 SuperLambBanana’s can be viewed in Metquarter until 25th August.
